Get news from the library's friends

The Friends of the Chesterfield Public Library has a new website and email network. Each branch has its own page. The
Bon Air information is here, the Village of Midlothian branch's page is here. 

You can Chesterfield Friends of the Public Librarysign up for news on the local branches you use. You do not have to be a member of the organization, it's a public service to the entire community. But, consider joining. The cost is low, they have excellent programs for members and they are doing important work. Go here to sign up or learn more.

The value of lifelong learning

If I had only one message that I could give to our students, I would stress to them that learning never stops. That has always been true, but even more today in our rapidly changing world.

Lifelong Learning Institute ChesterfieldContinuous learning is not a chore. It's fun. That message comes loud and clear from the Lifelong Learning Institute, a member-supported organization designed to meet the educational, fitness and social enrichment needs of adults age 50+. I'm proud to say Chesterfield County's Public Schools are strong, active partners in this organization which is based in the Village of Midlothian.  In this global environment that changes every day, we should all to strive to be "life long learners."  I learn new things every day!
